A Wonder That Is INDIA

We are writing to remind you about the long forgotten scientific achievements of a land. A land which taught the world how to count. A land which contain the whole history of philosophy in a nutshell. A land which is the cradle of human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend and the great grandmother of tradition. A land with a 100 nations within and a hundred tongues; of a thousand religions and 2 million gods. A land with more population than the entire western hemisphere of earth.-Yes. It is about the scientific achievements of our forefathers.
We hear people telling that India is an underdeveloped country. But in our opinion, it is not. It is a highly developed society in an advanced state of decay, and is rapidly recovering. It is difficult for us living with that evidence of poverty and misery around us, to conceive of an India that was super developed, especially in science. But that is just how India was before the invasion of the Europeans; or why would they have come? Do you think they would have come to a land of poverty and misery? No they came to an India that was fabulously rich and prosperous. They came not only in search of wealth but also in search of knowledge. They took what they could take and tried to destroy what they could not.
And here we are, not as a poor country but as the country of the poor. And not as the country of the poor, if we consider knowledge as wealth.
A sage, Baudhayana, who lived about centuries before the Pythagoras had found the value of Pi till 32 digits. The Pythagoras Theorem that we learn today, was described by Baudhayana long ago in a book called Sulba Sutra (that was long before the westerners learn to count).
Greek scientist Hippocrates (father of modern medicine) said in his autobiography that he had gained this knowledge from Charaka and Susrutha of ancient Bharat.
Applying kumkum on the forehead between the eyebrows there is a major nerve point that prevents the loss of energy. The red Kumkum between eyebrows is said to retain energy in the human body and control the various levels of concentrations
Arya Bhatta, in his book AryaBhattiyam described the rotation, revolution and even calculated the speed of light. He has described the law of gravitation. That too 1000s of years before NEWTON.  Our Indian way of yoga and meditation is proved to be the best way to boost brain power. A recent survey in America shows that 65% of the Americans practice surya namaskara daily instead of jogging. This is because surya namaskara provides exercise to more than 210 ankle joints at the same time.
Ringing bells in temples and churches clears our mind and help us to stay sharp and keep our full concentration. That is why bell is kept in temples and churches. The echoes produced by the bell are good enough to activate all the 7 healing centers   in our body. This results in emptying our brain from all negative thoughts.
A physician Susrutha (lived long before Christ) was believed to have performed plastic surgeries and cataract surgeries. His theories were recently used for formulating a treatment against cancer.
Kaya Kalpa in ayurveda is a set of specific therapies mentioned in Vedic texts, that can actually reverse the physical degeneration caused by age
Sitting on the floor and eating instantly bring a sense of calm and help in digestion. It is believed to automatically trigger the signals to your brain to prepare the stomach for digestion
Only a few years ago, the Chinese discovered some Sanskrit documents in Tibet which contained directions for building interstellar spaceships.
According to ancient Indian texts, the people had flying machines which were called "Vimanas”
Their method of propulsion was "anti-gravitational" and was based upon a system analogous to that of "laghima"
Joining hands as a sign of respect activates the pressure points on our fingers which help us to remember that person for a long time.
Sleeping with head towards north is proves to be unhealthy as per the mythology. Our body has its own magnetic field and earth is a giant magnet. When we sleep with head towards north, the magnetic field becomes asymmetrical to the earth’s magnetic field. This causes problems related to blood pressure and our heart need to work harder in order to overcome this asymmetrical of magnetic field.

And even now, we are not so behind. We have just send a spacecraft to Mars at a rate of Rs.18/km. And the present auto rickshaw rate is...Rs.20/km. Therefore, look back, as far as we can. Drink deep of the eternal fountains of knowledge that are behind; and after that, look forward, march forward and make India brighter, greater and much higher than she ever was.

“There will be a time when the whole world will be begging in front of Bharat for knowledge with both its arms extended.”
